20th Television Developing “The Mafia Nanny” For Hulu/Disney+

20th Television is developing a brand-new drama series called “The Mafia Nanny” for Hulu/Disney+ that is based on the popular Webtoon webcomic of the same name.

This new series follows Davina, who serves as an elite nanny to high-net-worth families. Her job should be straightforward: protect the charge, obey the client, and avoid becoming emotionally attached. But when Davina receives her first mission in the form of young Mikey Angelini, his imposing – and alluring – father threatens to drag her back into the world of organised crime she had tried to leave behind.

It is being executive produced by Charlize Theron, along with Beth Kono, AJ Dix and Matt Maher for Secret Menu, David Madden and Sera Tabb for Webtoon Productions and Dawn Olmstead for Steady Collective.

According to Deadline, “The Mafia Nanny” was created by Violet Matter and illustrated by sh00, Roususu and Drawniels. Over the years, the comic has pulled in over 420 million global views.

This isn’t the first series developed as a webcomic; the upcoming series “The Remarried Express” is coming to Disney+ and Hulu later this year.
