Scores of visitors and celebrators are expected to fill Chicago's Little Village neighborhood on Sunday afternoon as the annual 26th Street Mexican Independence Day Parade gets underway.

Now in its 55th year, the parade will step off at noon from the historic Little Village Arch located at 26th Street and Albany Avenue and proceed down 26th Street to Kostner Avenue.
Under the theme "United We Ride, Stronger Than Ever," the parade will feature floats, mariachi and folklórico performances, according to the event's Facebook page.
For those unable to attend in person, the parade will be streamed live from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Telemundo Chicago, the NBC Chicago streaming channel, Telemundo.com, NBCChicago.com and Telemundo and NBC Chicago's apps.
The parade is part of a weekend-long celebration of Mexican Independence festivities.
On both Saturday and Sunday nights, El Grito Chicago will turn Grant Park's Butler Field into a massive celebration with music, food and more.
A second parade is also planned for Sunday afternoon.
