3 scam reports in Danville for week ending July 18, 2026

For the week ending July 18, 2026, Danville had three scam reports, according to Better Business Bureau.

That compared with one report during the previous week.

Reported losses totaled $38.34 from the single report that listed an amount. The most common scam type was employment, accounting for two of the reports.

The largest reported loss for the week was $38.34 in a counterfeit product case. The report stated: "I ordered your space projector, and your advertisement shows it displaying on the walls and ceiling. The product I received only displays a small circle image of space, not even the size of a single tile of a drop-down ceiling. It does not display on the ceiling and walls as advertised and described. I have reached out to the seller twice by email and have not received a response at all. I have included one picture that shows what they advertise. I have also included a second picture of what it actually shows in real time."
