EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Two East Lansing City Council members held a community conversation at Grand Traverse Pie Company Thursday, discussing topics from policing to upcoming elections.
Councilmember Kerry Ebersole Singh and Mayor Pro Tem Chuck Grigsby say they expect a very busy fall season of citywide work and felt it was necessary to allow residents a unique opportunity to talk with them directly about what's ahead, what's problematic, and what's working.
Their hope was to have a relaxed, two-way conversation in a way that might not be possible in formal meetings.

Although there was no planned agenda tonight, residents still came prepared with questions for the officials about East Lansing policing tactics.
