A cutoff low from the coast of California is sending moisture into the region and moving northeast through Thursday afternoon. The best chances for showers will be over the Columbia Basin and the Blues through the afternoon with the valleys near the Cascades and the Lower East Slopes staying dry until Sunday. A cold front will catch the moisture and push it to the east through early Friday morning with gusty winds and sunny skies to follow for the rest of the day. Daytime highs will stay in the 60s through Friday with clear skies and breezy winds Friday night dropping lows to the upper 20s and low 30s behind the cold front. Saturday through the weekend will be partly to mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 50s and lows in the upper 20s and low 30s. These temps will last through all next week and possibly drop even more by Halloween. Shower chances increase greatly Sunday through Tuesday, but don't look to be very heavy with less than a hundredth of an inch of rain in total expected over the next seven days.
