A Taste of Kosciusko Fills Downtown

WARSAW – A cloudy sky with temperatures in the mid-70s and a light breeze made it a perfect night for the Taste of Kosciusko at Downtown Warsaw’s Third Friday tonight, Friday, Sept. 18.

More than a dozen food vendors and 20 market vendors lined Buffalo and Center streets with picnic tables, live music, games and lots of people out and about.

Nora Christiansen, Kosciusko Chamber event coordinator, and Rob Parker, chamber executive director, were pleased with not only the turnout but the weather.

“It’s a great turnout,” said Parker, “all the way around. We do this every September. So far, so good with this weather.”

Christiansen added she, too, was very happy with the weather.

“Hosting outdoor events in the Midwest is not always the case, but tonight it really came through for us.”

“Honestly, we are covering the gamut” of food, she stated, from Drizzle Pop (popcorn) to full meals to dirty sodas and more, plus lots of desserts. Add to that live music from Aint Ryte and the Warsaw High School drum line.

“We’re very happy with this weather,” she added, along with the vendor and pedestrian turnout.
