The Adams County Farmers Market (ACFM) announced Tuesday an expansion of the food assistance programs available to shoppers who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits, also known as SNAP.
Beginning Saturday, Sept. 26, the market will launch PA Food Bucks in partnership with The Food Trust, expanding ACFM's longstanding SNAP "Double Dollars" program into a new Triple SNAP nutrition incentive.
This program will allow participating shoppers to receive three times the value of their SNAP purchase for eligible foods exclusively at the farmers market. The announcement aligns with the finale of Hunger Action Month, which takes place every September each year.
