AM Best Assigns Credit Ratings to Interamericana de Seguros, S.A.
AM Best has assigned a Financial Strength Rating of B++ (Good) and a Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of “bbb+” (Good) to Interamericana de Seguros, S.A. (Ficohsa Seguros) (Tegucigalpa, Honduras). The outlook assigned to these Credit Ratings (ratings) is stable.
The ratings reflect Ficohsa Seguros’ balance sheet strength, which AM Best assesses as very strong, as well as its strong operating performance, neutral business profile and appropriate enterprise risk management.
Ficohsa Seguros, legally incorporated as Interamericana de Seguros, S.A., was established in Honduras, in 1957. The company was acquired by Grupo Financiero Ficohsa, S.A. in 1996, and subsequently, adopted its current commercial name.
