Amouage, the prestigious luxury perfume house from Oman, continues to push creative boundaries with its latest addition to the Library Collection: Opus XVI Timber. This woody fragrance pays homage to nature's enduring strength and wisdom. According to Renaud Salmon, Amouage's Chief Creative Officer, the scent begins with a striking, solid woody aroma reminiscent of a towering sequoia. Over time, it reveals subtle nuances, blending smoky guaiac wood, resinous fir balsam, and crisp cypress, evoking the textures of aged bark.
The fragrance, available at 25% eau de parfum concentration, will launch in Amouage stores across Oman and the UAE on August 8, with international availability starting September 1. The 100ml bottle will be priced at $380 in the United States.
This new release comes amid a period of significant growth for Amouage, which reported a 30% increase in 2024, surpassing $260 million in annual retail sales—more than twice the global perfume industry average.
