WEST BEND — Anne E. Schwartz, the Pulitzer Prize-nominated journalist who broke the Jeffrey Dahmer story, will be coming to The Bend Theater, 125 N. Main St., at 7 p.m. on Tuesday to talk about what it was like to report one of America’s most notorious criminal cases.
"Anne E. Schwartz was at the top of our list when launching this community lecture series," The Bend Theater’s Chief Experience Officer/Executive Director Noelle Braun said in the release. "The Dahmer case still resonates with so many people locally, nationally, and internationally and we are lucky enough to have the number 1 expert in the case coming into the theater to share her firsthand experience and knowledge of the case."
Schwartz, a former reporter for the Milwaukee Journal and former reporter and editor for Conley Media, will speak during The Bend Sessions, a free weekly lecture series from The Bend, and share her experience as the first journalist on scene the night that the Milwaukee Police Department discovered the remains of victims inside of Jeffrey Dahmer’s Milwaukee apartment.
