The University has received an anonymous gift in the amount of $1.25 million for renovations to the competition gym and lobby of the Corbin J. Robertson Center, home to the Pirates men's and women's basketball and volleyball programs. "I am so pleased that this generous gift will benefit our student-athletes, coaches, and the entire community," Southwestern University President Laura Skandera Trombley said. "These upgrades will enhance this important space where the Southwestern community regularly gathers to cheer our Pirates to victory." The renovations focus on enhancing the fan experience and elevating the Pirates' home court advantage. The existing bleachers will be removed and replaced with retractable chairback seats, providing an added level of comfort to fans. An all-new maple hardwood flooring surface will be installed to support basketball and volleyball competition.
