By Saturday evening, Kathy Lyles had only one ghost left.
The North Carolina potter had brought more than 40 ceramic ghosts to Arts in the Heart of Augusta.
They “sold like hotcakes,” disappearing from her display as fast as she could sell them, Lyles said.

A thunderstorm cut short some Saturday performances and showings around 7 p.m., but no rain is in the forecast today.
An appetite for the arts The three-day festival again brought its vast mix of visual art, live performances, children’s activities and food from cultures represented across the Augusta area.
Matt Porter, executive director of the Westobou arts organization, said Saturday’s turnout showed how strongly people want arts experiences in Augusta, even when organizers have to solve new logistical problems.
“I think it’s a remarkable testament to how much people want things like this in our community,” Porter said.
