Athens Police Department Celebrates Captain Keith's Retirement After 20 Years of Service

Captain Roger Keith was commemorated on July 30 during a retirement ceremony celebrating his two-decade career with the Athens Police Department. Joining the force in 2005, Captain Keith progressed through various ranks, including corporal, sergeant, lieutenant, and ultimately captain. Throughout his tenure, he contributed to both operational duties and support functions, actively participating in community initiatives such as National Night Out and recruitment drives. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he has been recognized with the Life Saving Award for rescuing a tenant from a fire and holds several professional certifications, including Master Peace Officer and TCOLE Instructor.
