Anticipated Changes at the Atlanta Shoe Market Amid Renovations and Industry Challenges
The Atlanta Shoe Market (TASM) is poised for significant developments as it approaches its upcoming event, despite ongoing industry uncertainties. The trade show, which has been a staple in the footwear industry for decades, will temporarily move some operations due to the renovation of its longtime venue, the Cobb Galleria Centre, commencing immediately after this year's event on August 9-11.
According to TASM Executive Director Laura Conwell-O’Brien, the 31-year-old facility is undergoing a comprehensive upgrade to enhance its amenities and capacity, with construction expected to conclude by early 2027. During this period, key areas such as the registration desk will relocate to the Galleria’s rotunda, and approximately 40 brands will be temporarily housed at the nearby Renaissance Waverly Hotel, including the lunch venue.
