Atlas Acquires EVRAZ North America and Launches Orion Steel with New Leadership

Atlas Holdings has successfully finalized the acquisition of EVRAZ North America and has established Orion Steel Companies, appointing industry veteran Doug Matthews as CEO. This strategic move consolidates several steel operations under the new brand, including Rocky Mountain Steel Mills in Colorado, Oregon Steel Mills, and Interpro Pipe and Steel in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Collectively, these facilities employ around 3,400 skilled workers and possess an annual steelmaking capacity of 2.3 million tons, with finished steel capacity reaching 3.5 million tons, utilizing over 98% recycled scrap material.
