Survivors of the incident, which occurred a year ago, have spoken out about their experiences. Russell Harris, a 47-year-old Australian, described his ordeal: "I was upside down, unable to free myself, desperately trying to escape. All I saw was fluid dripping in front of me. I thought I had survived the fall, but now I was about to be consumed by fire."
Harris and his Indonesian partner, Keylla, have recently released the crash footage amidst a legal dispute with the helicopter operator. Harris explained, "Since the accident, I haven't been able to work or care for my children. Our lives have been completely upended."
