Today, dear friends, we will be discussing God’s strength, especially as found in our times of weakness.
The Bible is full of scriptures that speak to us on this very subject, from Old Testament to New. We find the strength of God holding us up in times of heavy burdens, despair and dismay. For it is in those times when we are most overwhelmed that we should be seeking God’s help and presence in our lives.
It’s good to know that God is our helper, our comforter, our counselor, and so much more. 1 Chronicles 16:11 reminds us to “seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!”
What this verse is reminding us is not to hide or run away from God, especially in those times we need him most. We celebrate him with praises and worship when our lives are going along well and good. His reminder to us is that he doesn’t then leave us in our times of troubles.
These verses found in Isaiah help to remind us of God’s continuous presence and help. These are the times our prayers and petitions should particularly seek out the strength of God to give us the wisdom and confidence that he provides.
