The Boeing Co. (BA), an aerospace company, on Wednesday announced that it had finalized an order with Turkish Airlines for up to 150 737 MAX airplanes.
Turkish Airlines purchased 100 737-8 airplanes.
The order builds on Turkish Airlines' 2025 order for up to 75 787 Dreamliner aircraft as part of its fleet and network expansion.
The agreement also includes industrial participation to support Türkiye's aviation ecosystem.
The airline also secured options for 50 additional 737 MAX jets.
The agreement includes substitution rights for the 737-10, the largest 737 MAX variant.
The order marks Turkish Airlines' largest Boeing single-aisle aircraft order.
The new aircraft will support the airline's short- and medium-haul network from its Istanbul hub.
The Boeing Co closed trading 1.12% higher at $199.93 on the New York Stock Exchange. In the overnight, the stock further traded 0.16% higher at $200.25.
