The Baton Rouge rapper has officially agreed to a plea agreement concerning his 2023 gun charge.
In 2023, Boosie Badazz, born Torence Hatch, was detained during a traffic stop in San Diego, where authorities recovered two firearms, according to Fox 5 San Diego. While the initial state charges related to the arrest were dropped, he faced additional charges for firearm possession by a convicted felon.
A social media video allegedly depicted the artist wearing a gun in his waistband alongside a local gang member. Following the incident, Boosie was mandated to wear an ankle monitor after posting $100,000 bail but removed it during a pool party last June to celebrate the anticipated case dismissal.
He initially celebrated exiting the courthouse the following month, believing the gun charges were dropped. However, a recent post on X (formerly Twitter) shared on August 4 suggests the situation is more complex:
"JUST ACCEPTED A PLEA FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ON MY GUN CASE," he wrote. "I THOUGHT THIS CASE WAS OVER AND I WAS READY TO MOVE ON WITH MY LIFE, BUT 'GOD DOESN'T MAKE MISTAKES....
