Boston College released its initial availability report Wednesday night ahead of Saturday's matchup with Virginia Tech.
BC listed 11 players as out: defensive lineman Chris Marable Jr., defensive back Isaiah Farris, linebacker Justin Medlock, running back Sedric Addison, defensive back Cameron Martinez, linebacker Bodie Kahoun, offensive linemen Marek Jin and Michael Crounse, and tight ends Brady Clough, Kaelan Chudzinski and Bryce Lewis.
The most significant absence among that group is Kahoun, who has been part of the linebacker rotation since transferring from Notre Dame. He started the season opener against Cincinnati and recorded three tackles, then made six tackles against Rutgers before leaving the game in the second quarter with a scary injury. Kahoun also missed last week's 22-16 win over Maine. But Marable is significant as well, as he was one of BC's most consistent defensive tackles. He has missed the past two games. Crounse was rolled up on against Cincinnati, and has been replaced the past two plus games by DJ Williams.
