Join Us for a Plogging Event at Franklin Park!
Help us keep Boston beautiful! On Saturday, November 7, the B.A.A. will host a community plogging event at Franklin Park Playstead in celebration of the upcoming Half Marathon. The morning will begin with a 9:00 a.m. special event highlighting our partnership with the City of Boston and our commitment to hosting events in Franklin Park. Following the remarks, participants are invited to take part in an approximately one-hour plogging session, combining light jogging or walking with litter collection to help care for one of Boston's treasured green spaces.
Why plogging? Plogging is a simple way to combine fitness, community engagement, and environmental stewardship. By collecting litter while walking or running, participants help protect local ecosystems, reduce waste, and create cleaner, more welcoming public spaces for everyone.
Did you know? Schneider Electric, the Official Sustainability Partner of the Boston Marathon, works with the B.A.A. year-round to advance sustainability initiatives that help reduce environmental impact and support a more sustainable future for the marathon and the communities it serves.
We hope you'll join us...
