The plan involves constructing nine residential units on a 20.14-acre site located at 2223 Ridge Road. This qualifies as a major subdivision due to Buckingham's classification, which considers developments with more than four lots as significant.
Community members raised several questions, including concerns about potential increases in traffic and zoning compliance. Anderson assured the commission that the new homes would not significantly impact the road, and each driveway would be permitted individually. Regarding zoning, he clarified that parts of Ridge Road are not designated for such development and are outside the county’s master plan. He emphasized that rezoning requests and special use permits are the proper channels for such projects, and he has adhered to county staff recommendations throughout the process.
