Bucs outside linebackers coach/run game coordinator Larry Foote had no trouble comparing Bijan Robinson's rushing style to another elusive running back.
It's all there. The explosive starts and quick stops. The acceleration, typically followed by celebration.
"I was sharing with the guys, this is their generation of Barry Sanders, and he's dynamic," Foote said. "How you stop him: all 11 guys have to be committed to getting him on the ground. He can take it anywhere. I showed some highlights. I wasn't trying to scare them; I told them I'm not scared of him, but you better know where he's at."
Currently, Robinson is standing atop the list of the NFL's rushing leaders with 704 yards rushing and four touchdowns in seven games. He also has 25 receptions for 203 yards and another score.
Robinson's best all-around performance against the Bucs came in December 2025, when he totaled 175 yards from scrimmage: 93 rushing, 82 receiving and a touchdown. On the third play of the season opener last year, Robinson took a pass in the flat and scored on a 50-yard TD reception.
"Well, it starts with No. 7," Foote said of Robinson. "I have a ton of respect for that guy. He's dynamic."
