SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Fifth-ranked Minnesota Duluth fell 4-3 in overtime to unranked Augustana on Friday in nonconference play at Midco Arena.
Junior center Callum Arnott, senior wing Barrett Hall and junior center Zam Plante scored for the Bulldogs. Arnott gave UMD a 50-second lead in the first period with a power play goal and Hall scored in the final minute of the second period for a 2-1 lead. Plante tied the game and sent it to OT via an extra-attacker goal with 1:18 left.

Vikings senior Brett Meerman scored the 3-on-3 OT game-winner, putting away a rebound after a shot by senior defenseman Hayden Hennen caught iron.
Augustana sophomore Leo Bulgakov of Belarus scored late in the first period for the Vikings, just 50 seconds after Arnott’s power play goal. Landon Fandel, a sophomore defenseman from Sioux Falls, tied the game at 2-2 with 3:09 left in regulation and junior defenseman Samo Meritahti gave the hosts their first lead on the next shift. Both shots came from the point.
Bulldogs senior goaltender Ethan Dahlmeir finished with 26 saves while sophomore Mathis Langevin stopped 25 shot for the Vikings.
