Burnley Nears Deal to Sign Chelsea Striker Armando Broja Permanently

Burnley is nearing an agreement to acquire Chelsea's young striker Armando Broja on a permanent basis, with negotiations between the two clubs progressing significantly. Although a comprehensive deal has been broadly agreed upon, Broja has yet to give his final consent. The club has proposed a five-year contract, and Broja appears receptive to the move, though the transaction is expected to be finalized early next week. The transfer could be valued at up to £20 million, with the exact fee still to be confirmed. Broja, who joined Chelsea's youth academy in 2009 and signed his first professional contract in 2020, has made 38 senior appearances for the Blues. His career has included loan spells at Vitesse, Southampton, Fulham, and Everton. He scored his first goal for Chelsea in October 2022 but suffered a serious knee injury during a friendly against Aston Villa later that year, ruling him out for the remainder of the season. Additionally, Chelsea recently agreed to sign 17-year-old Sporting CP winger Geovany Quenda, who is expected to join the club in 2026.
