Cacao Cultivation Sparks Accelerated Deforestation in Cameroon

Cameroon's forests are experiencing a new wave of deforestation driven by the rapid expansion of cacao farming aimed at European markets. According to a recent report by the environmental organization Mighty Earth, the rate of forest loss has increased significantly, with approximately 782,000 hectares impacted.
