City council to issue official proclamation declaring October as Roller Skating Month as local rink marks half a century of operation
Cal Skate Rohnert Park, a beloved local institution and hub for family-friendly entertainment, is thrilled to announce its 50th Anniversary celebration this October, coinciding with National Roller Skating Month. Since opening its doors in 1976, Cal Skate has been creating memories across generations of skaters in Sonoma County.
To mark this major milestone, the Rohnert Park City Council will present an official proclamation during its meeting on Tuesday, October 13, declaring October as Roller Skating Month in the City of Rohnert Park in recognition of Cal Skate’s 50 years of dedicated service and community impact.
“Reaching 50 years is a huge milestone for us, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our incredible community, dedicated staff, and generations of skaters,” said Jean Saya, Owner and Operator at Cal Skate Rohnert Park. “We are excited to celebrate five decades of fun, family, and fitness with a full lineup of events and special promotions all month long.”
