A nine-year-old girl was bitten by a sea lion during a surfing session at a California beach, according to reports from KSBW 8 News on Monday. Corale Olsen was participating in a surfing camp at Asilomar State Beach in Pacific Grove alongside her siblings and their instructor when a sea lion approached and attacked. Olsen recounted that the encounter occurred while they were relatively far out in the ocean, with the animal initially passing under the instructor’s leg before biting her. "It was right beside me, and I thought, ‘Something really bad is going to happen,’" she said. "Then it bit me, causing pain, and I started screaming. It then came up and bit me again, pulling me underwater."
