Cape Cod's predicted nor'easter , expected to peak on Saturday, has sent couples scurrying to relocate their beach weddings, and postponed festivals across the region.
"I am up to my ears right now. It is really hard for the couples," emailed wedding caterer Olive Chase in response to a Cape Cod Times query about outdoor weddings scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
"Some have found indoor sites. Some are canceling or postponing. Falmouth has cancelled all tent permits, not sure about other towns. Most tents already canceled that we can see," Chase said.
Here are other cancellations caused by a storm predicted to last four days' bring winds up to 50 mph; and cause coastal flooding.
Cancellations on Cape Cod for FRIDAY, Sept. 25 The Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Cape Cod, along with hundreds of Habitat for Humanity volunteers, completed an affordable housing house on Gifford Street in one week. Weather has canceled plans for a cookout at the Blitz Build's Home Dedication Ceremony, but the dedication will go on at 1 p.m. inside the Falmouth ReStore, 805 Gifford St. Ext., Falmouth.
