Cardinals Burke and Cordileone to Lead Traditional Latin Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine

On Tuesday, the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse, Wisconsin, will host a special traditional Latin Mass celebrated by Cardinal Raymond Burke and Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone. This solemn Pontifical Mass, known as the Mass of the Americas, honors Our Lady of Guadalupe and Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception. It features Gregorian chant blended with traditional Mexican melodies, such as 'La Guadalupana,' and was composed by Frank LaRocca from the Pope Benedict XVI Institute for Sacred Music and Divine Worship. Archbishop Cordileone, who oversees the Archdiocese of San Francisco, will serve as the main celebrant, with the event scheduled to begin at 12:15 pm Central Time and broadcast later on EWTN.
