Roman Reigns has suggested that Cody Rhodes is the only other active WWE superstar who has been able to ‘carry the banner for this company’ alongside him.
Since returning to the company, Rhodes has been heavily involved with the Tribal Chief, namely in his quest to ‘finish the story’.
After coming up short the year prior, Cody beat Roman in the main event of WrestleMania in 2024, finally capturing the title.
Now, as the pair continue to stand as two of the top stars in the company, Reigns has given Cody his flowers.
In an interview with Complex, Roman was recently discussing what it takes to be a franchise star in WWE.
When doing so, he singled out Cody as the ‘only’ other active wrestler who has been able to carry the banner of the company.
He said: “Can you carry the banner for this company? This is a billion-dollar machine. It’s not easy.
“There’s only been one who’s been able to carry that banner. And that’s been Cody.”
In the same interview, Reigns also commented on his future in WWE.
