9.12.26 Bird-in-Hand, PA—Cecilia Castelli of Philadelphia dominated the women’s race with a strong performance on the Amish Country hills to win in 1:23:42. Castelli won by over five minutes, and only eleven men in the 1909 finisher runner field finished faster.
Tyler Muse of Salisbury, MD won for at least the second time, a recall a 2021 win. Muse won in 1:14:11. Luke Milhimes of Duncannon, PA ran strong to finish second in 1:14:31. Connor Muse of Landenberg, PA was third in 1:15:38. Cooper Linde of Lancaster was fourth in 1:16:00. Andrew Brown of Vienna, VA was fifth and top master in 1:18:47.
Claudia Eder of Doylestown was second in 1:29:12. Hanae Yaskawa of Baltimore, MD was third in 1:29:24. Mariana Folco of Philadelphia was fourth in 1:29:53. Teal Liu of Hershey was sixth and top master in 1:32:59.
With 1909 finishers in the half, and another 1348 in the Friday evening 5k, the event is one of the largest in Central Pennsylvania.
