For its new activation, Krug Champagne is hosting three intimate dinners this fall at Larrabee Studios, a legendary recording space in Los Angeles. The evening will include a tasting of Les Creations of 2013, crafted around the harvest of that year: Krug 2013 and Krug Grande Cuvée 169th Édition; alongside other Krug cuvées. As guests taste the champagnes, acclaimed producers, welcomed by Manny Marroquin, will compose an original score in real time, inspired by their reactions and emotions. The music pairing brings these individual responses together into one collective musical creation: an entirely unique composition that exists only once, on that night.
Chef Oscar Torres will pair a multi-course menu with several Krug expressions, including Krug Grande Cuvée 173ème Édition and Krug Rosé 29ème Édition. The experience is designed around the idea that sound and taste aren't separate — music can reveal new dimensions of the champagne tasting experience, exploring the influence of sound on taste, emotion, and perception, allowing guests to be part of the creative process.
