The home opener for the Chicago Bears is going to be a soggy one, as the Chicago area will continue to see rain for most of the day.
Although the heaviest rain is expected to be over by the time things kick off at noon on the lakefront, showers are expected to persist through most of the contest, according to the NBC 5 Storm Team.

There could be some embedded thunderstorms as fans prepare to tailgate for the contest, though those storms are expected to mostly wrap up by the noon hour, according to forecast models.
Gametime temperatures are expected to be in the upper-60s, with breezy conditions possible across the region.
In the rest of the area, flood advisories remain in effect Sunday morning for large swaths of the area after heavy rain, including in southern DeKalb County, where between two-to-five inches of rain fell overnight.
Kane, DuPage, Kendall, Will and Cook counties also experienced heavy rain overnight, with two or more inches of rain falling across the area. A flood advisory will remain in effect until 10 a.m. in those areas, according to the National Weather Service.
