The 49ers improved to 2-0 on the 2026 NFL season after a very convincing win over the Miami Dolphins. The offense was the star of the show, scoring 35 points and looking like a team ready to take the NFL by storm. Christian McCaffrey made history in the process and scored his 50th touchdown with the 49ers, putting him in very rare air.

McCaffrey ran the ball 10 times for 23 yards and only averaged 2.3 yards per carry on the ground, but found the end zone twice. Both of his touchdowns came on short goal-line runs.
McCaffrey joined the 49ers in a trade midway through the 2022 season, and immediately became a focal point for the offense. In his first full season with the franchise in 2023, he ran for 1,459 yards with 14 rushing touchdowns and contributed four receiving touchdowns as well.
McCaffrey was a big reason why the 49ers earned the NFC's No. 1 seed and made it all the way to Super Bowl LVIII, and he won the NFL Offensive Player of the Year for that season.
