CIBC Caribbean Executive Celebrates Student Achievement with New Math Award
Kemar Polius, Head of CIBC Caribbean Barbados and an alumnus of Wesley Hall Junior School, recently honored student Shazzario Marshall as the inaugural recipient of the Kemar Polius Trophy for Outstanding Improvement in Mathematics. The award was presented during the school's graduation ceremony at Abundant Life Assembly, where Marshall was celebrated amid cheers from peers and family. Polius, who delivered the keynote address to inspire the graduating class of 2025, established the award to motivate students showing dedication and progress in mathematics. Originally intended for male students to encourage their effort, the scholarship was later opened to all students demonstrating improvement. Reflecting on his own school days, Polius shared his passion for math and emphasized effort over innate talent, encouraging students to pursue excellence in any chosen career.
