The Civil Service Commission is likely to postpone the in-person hearings initially scheduled for August regarding the appeal of former Massachusetts State Police trooper Michael Proctor, who is contesting his dismissal. Proctor, who led investigations into high-profile cases including that of Karen Read, was dismissed in March primarily due to derogatory text messages he sent about Read during her case. He subsequently appealed his termination to the commission.
