CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Happy Thursday! We still have to deal with the cloud cover this morning, but skies clear up by later this evening. The good news is we are expected to remain dry despite a few isolated showers. We’re slightly warmer with highs in the low to mid 60s, but still cool overall. Gusts could reach up to 25 mph - adding a bit of a chill to your day. Here’s your planner

WEEKEND FORECAST

THE WEEKEND LOOKS AMAZING! I cannot wait! Sunny skies, dry and highs will be in the upper 70s.

WATCHING THE TROPICS

Tropical Storm Fay formed earlier this week. The storm weakened into a depression and then strengthened again today back to a Tropical Storm. It remains out in the Atlantic - pushing west. We have another low pressure system we’re monitoring with a 70% chance of development. We’ll be keeping a close eye on both of these systems.

The nice dry stretch continues into early next week and we deserve it!
