SAENZ: "Senator Bernie Sanders held his first of three rallies here in Maine, as he‘s trying to push the democratic candidate, Troy Jackson, across the finish line. Sanders was here in Maine for the first time since Democrats changed their candidate, mid-campaign, after the controversies facing Graham Platner, the original democratic nominee, had pushed him out of this race. Now, Sanders was a strong supporter of platner, but he had also endorsed Jackson when he was running for governor and on the trail here in bangor. Sanders tried to argue that Jackson is needed in the Senate to try to provide a check on President Trump.”
