Cody Rhodes will play Guile in the upcoming Street Fighter movie, but there are plenty of differences between the WWE Superstar and his character.
In a recent interview, Rhodes was asked how his in-ring style differs from Guile, and he said it comes down to brute charging vs. athleticism. He said,
“He [Guile] is a charge character, you know? Maybe that’s too deep of a cut for the game itself, but when you played the game back in the day, you had to hold the button down, a good ol’ three seconds before you popped that flash-kick off.

“So, I am not a charge character in real life. Cody Rhodes is a lot more limber, moving around. Guile’s smash mouth, it’s a smash mouth ball… So I was more slide kick, does that make any sense?”
Guile debuted as part of Street Fighter 2 and is seeking vengeance for his friend who was killed by series antagonist M.Bison.
Street Fighter will also feature WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns as Akuma and New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Hirooki Goto as E. Honda.
