Cole Beaudoin has 3 points in AHL debut as Wolf Pack beat Phantoms 5-2
ALLENTOWN, Pa. (WFSB) - Cole Beaudoin had a goal and two assists in his AHL debut, and the Hartford Wolf Pack scored four unanswered goals to beat the Lehigh Valley Phantoms 5-2 on Saturday night at PPL Center in the season opener.
Lehigh Valley took a 1-0 lead 5:32 into the first period on a power-play goal by Jacob Gaucher. Jack Studnicka set up Ilya Pautov for a chance stopped by Gabriel Carriere, with Gaucher scoring on the rebound.
Hartford tied it at 11:34 of the first. Cole Beaudoin set up Taylor Raddysh in the slot for his first goal with the Wolf Pack.
Gaucher made it 2-1 just 1:39 into the second period, beating Carriere from the left side for Lehigh Valley’s first even-strength goal of the season.
Hartford tied it again at 10:05 of the second on the power play. Marc Del Gaizo’s shot off a pass from Liam Greentree was redirected to Juuso Pärssinen, who scored past Alexei Kolosov.
Pärssinen then set up Lucas Vanroboys for the go-ahead goal 5:03 into the third for a 3-2 lead.
Beaudoin made it 4-2 at 8:23 with his first career goal, scoring off the post past Kolosov. Vincent Iorio added an empty-net goal ...
