Stand-up comedian Matt Rife has revealed that he has acquired the historic Connecticut residence and occult museum previously owned by paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, whose cases inspired the popular Conjuring film series. Rife announced on Instagram that he is now the legal guardian of the property and its collection, including the infamous Annabelle doll, for at least five years, alongside his friend @eltoncastee. He expressed his excitement about owning a significant piece of paranormal history, noting his personal fascination with haunted phenomena and the Warren family's influence on mainstream demonology.
Rife also shared plans to open the house for overnight stays and to conduct guided tours of the museum soon. The Warren house was previously accessible to visitors until Lorraine Warren’s passing in 2019, after which zoning restrictions led to its closure.
The Conjuring universe began with the 2013 film "The Conjuring" and has since expanded with multiple sequels and spin-offs featuring actors Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga portraying Ed and Lorraine Warren. The upcoming film "The Conjuring: Last Rites" is scheduled for release on September 5.
