CONOVER, N.C. (WHKY) – 51-year-old Omar Luna-Rodriguez of Rowal Street SE in Conover was arrested today by Conover Police Officers. He’s charged with three felony counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Conover Police investigators, with assistance from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and the United States Secret Service, arrested Luna-Rodriguez following a joint investigation. According to court records, the suspect allegedly distributed visual representations of minors engaged in sexual activity. The victims are listed as being between the ages of 7-12, 12-14, and 8-14 years of age. The date of the offenses is listed as May 20, 2026.
Luna-Rodriguez is being held at the Catawba County Detention Facility under no bond. His first court appearance is scheduled Wednesday (September 30).
