As students prepare to return to Christiansburg High School in Virginia this Wednesday, they will encounter a new, large 'open plan' bathroom designed to be gender-neutral and accommodate multiple users simultaneously.

Parents have expressed concern over this development. Alecia Vaught, a 49-year-old grandmother with two grandchildren attending the school, shared her apprehensions with The Daily Signal, stating, "I would have been mortified at that age."
Photos obtained by The Daily Signal reveal signage featuring symbols of a woman, a man, a half-man/half-woman, and a wheelchair. Although individual stalls are enclosed with higher walls for privacy, the overall open design means that teenage boys and girls will share a communal handwashing area visible from the hallway.
