Kellyanne Conway, a White House advisor, confirmed in an interview on Tuesday morning that President Donald Trump intends to continue holding regular press briefings. The administration plans to overhaul the White House communications approach, incorporating more off-camera sessions, reducing the number of questions, and increasing direct interactions between Trump and the press. Despite these changes, Conway emphasized that press briefings will always be a staple of White House communication.
"There will always be White House briefings," Conway stated during her appearance on Fox and Friends. She added that cabinet secretaries and other officials will participate in these briefings when their respective issues are part of the daily news agenda.
This announcement follows the resignation of White House Communications Director Mike Dubke on May 18, who offered to remain on temporarily to assist during Trump's initial foreign trip. Dubke served for three months before stepping down.
