Cross Country Makes Some Noise at the Spartan Classic 9/13/2026 8:15:00 PM Geneva, Ill. – The Dominican University Cross Country program participated in the Spartan Classic at Settler's Hill, hosted by Aurora University. Results: Men's XC: 4th of 6 teams (8k) Women's XC: 7th of 8 teams (6K) Shining Stars: -Senior Samuel Malke continued to be the leader on the men's side finishing tenth in the race with a time of 30:20.3 in the 8k. -Senior Fatima Duran and Freshman Sarah Johnson went 1-2 for the Stars on the women's side. Duran had a slight edge with her 31.01.5 (38th), while Johnson finished 31:04.4 (40th). -Freshman Diego Arce showed out well with a top twenty finish in his 31:49.1 time (19th). -Sophomore Alberto Diaz finished the race in 22nd with his time of 32:14.1. What's Next: The Dominican University Cross Country program will be right back on the course this upcoming weekend at the Gill Dodds Invitational. This meet is in Warrenville, Illinois and hosted by Wheaton College at St. James Farm.
