Sophomore Whitley Tatge and senior Alex Smith both placed 10th to lead the Stoughton cross country teams in the Glenn McNaughton Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 12, at Monona Grove Golf Course.
Tatge took 10th in a time of 20 minutes, 18.9 seconds to lead the girls team to a sixth-place finish with 174 points. Smith clocked in at 17:03.1 to place 10th, pacing the boys team to an 11th-place finish with 247 points.
Freshman Meghan Wittleder placed 26th in 22:04.91. Senior Lily Phillippi placed 47th in 23:29.10 and junior Olivia Treiber took 52nd in 24:24.10. Sophomore Monica Verbeten clocked in at 25:58.7 to round out the girls’ scoring lineup.
On the boys’ side, sophomore Carson Solis finished 35th in 18:08.7. Freshman Aidan Wienkes placed 65th in 19:31.4. Sophomores Ben Davie and Jacob Swadley clocked in at 19:45.2 and 19:45.8, respectively.
