A Dallas-based developer, House of Tangram, has acquired 30 acres within the $2.5 billion Staybolt Street District in Mansfield, Texas, and has outlined plans to develop a convention center alongside innovative, sports-focused hotels, as reported by Nick Wooten of the Dallas Morning News. Among these developments is Carbon Mansfield, a 288-room hotel distinguished as potentially the world's first patented sports-centric hotel tailored for athletes and competitive teams. This hotel features an AI-driven platform that personalizes recovery environments, utilizing real-time biometrics and adaptive climate control to enhance guest experience. Additionally, the project includes over 33,000 square feet of convention space designed to accommodate esports, medical technology showcases, and high-performance events. The convention center will be owned by the city and positioned adjacent to a new 166,000-square-foot multisport stadium, which is currently under construction.
