NEW BRITAIN David Justin Hunt, 83, a former longtime resident of Southington, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 11, 2026, at the VITAS Inpatient Hospice Care Unit at St. Mary's Hospital. David was born on April 24, 1943, in New Britain, CT, the son of the late Stanley and Mary (Taft) Hunt. He grew up in New Britain and was the only boy among four children, with three sisters. He attended local schools and graduated from New Britain High School. Following high school, David began what would become a long and fulfilling career with Pratt & Whitney, where he worked as a manufacturing engineer. He dedicated many years to his profession before retiring. On September 21, 1963, David married the love of his life, Geraldine (Dalessio) Hunt. Together, they shared 63 years of marriage, building a life centered around family, love, and the simple pleasures they enjoyed together.
