Davidson Wins Fifth Straight Match, Beats Charlotte In Four Sets

DAVIDSON, N.C. - Davidson won its fifth straight match with a four-set victory over Charlotte on Saturday night inside Belk Arena. The Wildcats wrap up non-conference play with a 7-4 record.

The 'Cats saved their best for last in the final set. Davidson recorded a .345 team hitting percentage in the frame and took down Charlotte 25-13.

Davidson led the entire first set and ultimately won 25-17. After the Wildcats dropped the second set 25-13, the team responded in a competitive third set. Charlotte and Davidson were tied, 21-21, in the third frame.

The Wildcats served up six aces on the night.

Davidson wraps up the "Clash For The Crown" with two wins.

The Wildcat open up A-10 play at Dayton on Friday, Sept. 25 (7 p.m.) and Saturday, Sept. 26 (1 p.m.).
